Lucas Chumbo VS Nazaré

Lucas Chumbo VS Nazaré

Lucas Chumbo in what was one of the giant waves of the day at Nazaré . That the lantern does not appear flat speaks of how far this bomb began to break. Just look at the size of Lucas compared to the wave, which shows the size of this monster. Full respect to all the crews at there, stay safe.

This was the worst Wipeout of the day. CJ Macias tried to go in one of the waves of the day, it seemed that everything was going well when he was seen coming out of the foam, but something made him lose his balance and fall in the worst possible place. A fall that cost him an exposed fracture to his arm. We wish CJ Maciasa speedy recovery.

Not everything is rosy in Praia do Norte, as the saying goes, “you have to pay, to play” and Pedro had to pay, but luckily his fall had not escaped the eyes of one of the best not only surfers but also rescuers in Nazaré,`Lucas Chumbo, who was quick to rescue him heroically.

XL Kirra 8-10ft

XL Kirra 8-10ft

Cyclone Seth delivered a massive swell to the East Coast of Australia in the New Year and Kirra was the playground for the Pro surfers and experienced locals. Mikey and Owen Wright were the stand outs but some of the locals went wave for wave in the 8-10ft sets.

Nazaré Bombs

Nazaré Bombs

Nazaré has been off the dial recently, the North Atlantic was well and truly awake during the start of 2022. This place is no playground and certainly takes no prisoners. This session alone resulted in two injured, who were transported to the hospital, thankfully stable and out of danger. As always we salute the teams for their commitment to surfing and the safety of each other.

Shoot Out

Shoot Out

Pipe didn’t disappoint for the Backdoor Shootout in memory of Duke Kahanamoku, days one and two. Epic waves, epic surfing, epic filming, click into the pits with some of the North Shores finest surfers.

Hellman Kerby Brown

Hellman Kerby Brown

Kerby Brown is not one to hold back when it comes to crazy slabs. He’s not afraid to get towed in from deep, hug a dry rock ledge and then proceed to get spat out of a draining barrel. It is a truly unique approach which makes for exciting viewing.

Enjoy this raw edit of Kerby and his team doing what they do best. The last wave of the edit is Imogen Caldwell, another local WA charger, getting on the end of the tow rope.
