“Never in my life I thought I would be surfing with snow on the beach“ States the balinese surfer Marlon Gerber, as he enters the icy beach in the Arctic North of Norway. He is here to visit Scandinavian surfer Tim Latte and experience the other side of surfing. The cold side. No palm trees. No coconuts. No board shorts. It ́s a clash of climates.
The special weather conditions in Lofoten were sometimes quite challenging for both the surfers and the media team. The filmmakers of El Flamingo and photographer Sebi Drews spent two weeks in February 2019 inside and outside the water to capture this story.

Perranporths Lukas Skinner has just won the under 12 division of Barton Lynchs global grom video comp “Blast Off”. The category had over 300 entries from the worlds top groms and was judged by Kyuss king, Vahine Fierro, Mahina Maeda and Eli Hanneman.
You can watch the full ‘as live’ finals below. Some amazing surfing from the groms. Congrats also to Ocea Marley Curtis who won the under 12 girls.
The pair will now go into the grand finals which will be judged on Friday.

Father and daughter combo Anthony and Ella host a cast of nationally and internationally recognised experts, companies, organisations and individuals to deliver an exciting look into all things ocean.
This is the second episode of Catch Fish, surfing the same board in both clips. The 5’3 keel fish is hand shaped by Ryan Lovelace. Pushing the limits of this board in proper tubes and big air sections, twinning is winning after all.
