So theres a certain ‘little’ wave on the south-west coast of the island of Tahiti, French Polynesia, southern Pacific Ocean. It’s been a tad maHOOSIVE recently, here’s some of the footage. Strap in, and hold on… Teahupoo, aye carumba.

It is similar to something else, but exists or happens in a different place or at a different time.

“Our time in Tahiti made it abundantly clear that even though we speak different languages, Hawaii and Tahiti cultures are two of the same. We parallel each other with trust in protecting each other and the environment, personal values, gratefulness, generosity, and the desire put others before ourselves. In a nut shell, the spirit of Aloha lives far beyond the Hawaiian waters. Our Tahitian experience was greeted with a warm smile and beautiful Pikake flowers for the crew. The Tahitians are some of the most beautiful humans to walk this planet, or in our case charge some of the most death-defying waves. For the next 8 minutes we hope you enjoy an experience we will never forget. “ – Dakine Ohana

Kauli Vaast, 12 years old, Teahupoo

Sweet mother of X-Box what is this grom doing charging one of the heaviest waves in the world? I’ve seen much older, wiser “Pro” surfers absolutely cacking themselves at the mere mention of the word ‘Chopes’ … but this kid is out there having fun.

Get off GTA and COD groms: Kauli has laid down the challenge!

“Kauli has already started to travel the world and surfed some renown spots while discovering new cultures and surf styles. But he can never get enough of the hollow and powerfull waves of his Tahitian home spots where he gets the most fun.”
