Grom, Chandler Moore, 7, was out surfing with his dad, Shaun at New Smyrna Beach in Volusia County, Florida with a GoPro attached to his board.
The footage that his dad sent out via social media shows Chandler surfing and the shark rudely dropping in. Moore’s dad said “something like a fish” jumped out of the water and scared him.
If you check out the frame grab of the moment Chanler falls you can see the animal is clearly a small shark drop in, damn kook.

Blue sharks are listed as ‘near threatened’ on the IUCN Red List. This is mostly due to them being bycatch in the fishing industry. The species actually poses no threat to humans, and it is very rare that bites occur. As such, they are generally safe to swim with, and to show the world their beauty and their plight for survival. A surfer off Cape Cod (Devon Zimmerman) was only on the water a couple of minutes before experiencing the insane encounter with the great white. Joe Mault caught the very moment the man in the grey suit appeared to say hello, capturing it in a nuts photo. Probably not on your list of things to see in the line up that day.
Check 10-year-old Eden Hasson setting up a snap off a great white on Tuesday. Eden was surfing Samurai Beach at Port Stephens just north of Newastle, Australia with his dad taking photos the this happened.
Dad Chris posted the photos saying
“I’m on the rocks taking photos of Eden. I see a big dark shape and about to call the small group in and Eden takes of on a left and smashes it to the beach.
“Just as he is taking off I see something out of the corner of my eye. I keep shooting and after he finishes and starts paddling out I zoom in on the second photo and see he’s just done a backhand snap on an 8 foot Great White Sharks head.
“Lucky he didn’t fall off. This photo is going straight to the pool room. Not everyday you get a photo surfing over a big white.”
