Dylan did several missions to Puerto Rico to get this wedge blowing up on itself for his OCTOPUS PART. He had a vision for what he wanted his part to look like, and when it came to naming it, Dylan asked us if we thought it’d be ok if to call the video EXPLOSION SALAD, which is an actual menu item at world-renowned eating establishment, Chile’s. Our answer was, ‘It’s Octopus! Of course you can name your part EXPLOSION SALAD!’ and the rest is history.
The Weird Waves Crew wanted to start off season 2 with a bang. They may have taken the idea a little too literally by traveling to Alaska to potentially ride a wave made from falling ice, which makes a deafening crack with each piece of glacier that breaks off to form a wave… no biggie. In this episode they also check out what the locals on the Turnagain Arm are calling, ‘America’s longest wave.’ Saddle up, partners! Season Two of Weird Waves is coming in hot! Well… cold, actually.
How long is long? On this episode of Weird Waves, Dylan Graves intends to find out. The plan is to meet up with Guinness World Record holder for longest ride on the Severn River, Steve King. Where does Steve find time to surf in between writing critically acclaimed novels? Find out in this latest instalment of WEIRD… Waves
Things get even WEIRDER in Part 2 of “The Stream Tour” as Dylan and the team head to Bend, OR to link up with Alex Lopez and his dad, Gerry. Yeah, Gerry FRICKIN’ Lopez! They talk about life, river boards, and why the wave in Bend has a BRAIN.
Join host Dylan Graves in what he is calling “The Stream Tour” which involves jumping in his van and driving to the midwest to hunt down rivers to go shred! In the first part of this two part episode, Dylan and Vans up-and-comer, Jett Schilling, link up with master river shredder, KB Brown as they break down two different river waves in Montana and Idaho.
