Gwithian/Godrevy

Three miles of beachbreak stretch from the National Trust site of Godrevy to the North, round to Gwithian and Hayle Rivermouth to the south.

At the northern end, Godrevy faces west and picks up any swell going; it works on all tides up to neap high, but needs an offshore wind from the east quadrant to be really good. Gwithian, the next spot along, works under similar conditions but will be slightly smaller. The sandbanks south of this provide good fun for all abilities as the swell rises — the further south your progress the smaller it becomes. Hayle Rivermouth needs a good swell to start working; it will be about half the size of Godrevy.
