MONSTA BOX SQ HYFI

Dimensions: 5’10” x 19 ¼” x 2 3/8”
Volume: 28.1ltr
Fins: Tri fin
Shaper: Jason Stevenson

The Monsta Box is a mix of two global favourites, the Monsta 6 and the Blak Box 2. Designed as a one board quiver to suit a whole range of riders and conditions. Team JS Australia say this is the most well received hybrid surfboard they have ever produced. The Monsta Box has more rocker and a narrower outline than the Blak Box 3, while it’s fuller and flatter than the Monsta 8. This balance gives it perfectly blended curves to hide volume in all the right places, while remaining incredibly quick and reactive. A smooth single to double concave creates lift in sub-par conditions, but allows you to remain in control when the waves turn on.

BLACK BOX 3 SWALLOW HYFI

Dimensions: 5’10” x 19 ¾” x 2 7/16”
Volume: 30.5ltr
Fins: 5 fin set up
Shaper: Jason Stevenson

The new Blak Box 3 is all about easy acceleration and glide. To achieve this they’ve given it more planing area in the nose and extra foam under the chest. The wide point has also been moved forward, which creates a slightly straighter, pulled-in swallowtail. This provides a smooth rock and roll from rail to rail, giving you extra drive and angles of attack to choose from anywhere on a wave. The BB3 features a single concave through the nose running into a double concave starting forward of the fins. This design directs water under your feet to maintain lift, speed and manoeuvrability.

Forget Me Not 2

Dimensions: 6’0” x 18 ¾” x 2 3/8”
Volume: 27.6ltr
Fins: 5 fin set up
Shaper: Jason Stevenson

The pinnacle of high performance surfing in good to truly epic surf. The Forget Me Not 2 is the go-to board for serious powerful surf. The new more user-friendly design allows you to get into waves easier and earlier whilst maintaining perfect control at high speeds. Extra foam under the chest has resulted in increased paddle power and improved acceleration/speed control. A subtle single to double concave means the board will harness all the waves power and give you complete control. The outline has no breaks or hips at all – only clean curves and slightly fuller nose.

PSYCHO NITRO HYFI

MONSTA 8

Dimensions: 6’1” x 19” x 2 7/16”
Volume: 29.7ltr
Fins: Tri fin
Shaper: Jason Stevenson

JS’s best high performance all-rounder yet. JS introduce the finely tuned Monsta 8, the result of nearly a decade’s worth of research and development from the JS pro team. The last three inches of nose rocker have been slightly lifted to prevent catching in pumping waves, while the adjustments to the tail curve provide extra release. A single concave starting at the nose, which runs into a double concave starting just in front of the fins. Compared to the M6, the concave between the feet and through the fins is slightly deeper. The Monsta 8 will work best in good or powerful waves in the 2 – 6ft range.
