Favio Owenbridge is probably one of the most open and welcoming people I know. Even if you didn’t know Favio at all, after 10 minutes with him you could find yourself drinking tea and discussing your political views as comfortably as you like. He also knows his way around the water, known mostly for his outstanding surfing at killers in Morocco Favio has been there shredded that and got the tank top. Meet 17 year old Favio Owenbridge.

Why did you start surfing?

“I saw surfing as a sport that brought everyone from all areas of life together be it toddlers or over 60’s and I thought I would love to bring myself into a culture with that kind of depth. When I started I was not really sure how much of an impact it would have on my life but now 6 years down the line surfing is my life. It dictates my holiday plans and my everyday life, it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

What was the most adventurous surf of your life, to date?

“It was our first surf trip abroad to Morocco and we were all used to surfing head high Sennen so when we arrived at double overhead reef break all of us nearly turned around then and sprinted back to the comfort of the villa. But after an hour of checking it out a group of us realized we were up for it, so after a scary entrance to the water we were able to have the most adventurous surf of our life at mysteries. To this day it is the best surf of my life.”

If you could be any famous person who would you be and why?

“I would be john john just because he kills it every surf and the way he is pushing the limits above the wave and also inside it. Also because he is so young yet so talented so as years on tour go on his performance levels are going to just keep going up. Plus life on tour looks like paradise.”
