Channel Islands Fishbeard
5’9 x 19 5/8” x 2 1/2”
Volume: 30.7 litres
Fins: Twin fin Futures
Shaper: Britt Merrick
RRP: £590

The Fishbeard takes the Neckbeard 2, keeps the front half and the rocker but redesigns the back end and tail to accommodate twin keel fins. It’s a user-friendly board that will give you plenty of speed and flow if you get forward on the board. Stepping back on the tail will allow you to engage the rail and fins to provide pivot, hold, projection and the freedom to rip as hard as you like!

Channel Islands Rocket Wide Spine-Tek
5’8 x 19 1/2” x 2 1/2”
Volume: 30.3 litres
Fins: 5 fin FCS2
Shaper: Britt Merrick
RRP: £710

The Rocket Wide features a wider tail block to skate across flat sections and a wider nose area to accommodate for better paddle power. It’s a shorter, wider skate machine designed to lift the fun factor when the waves are not at their best. Spine-Tek is based on the principles of elastic energy, it flexes under pressure, (loading up through turns) and returns back to it’s normal rocker, providing surfboards with additional drive, speed, power and flow.

Channel Islands Ultra Joe
5’7 x 20 1/2” x 2 3/8”
Volume: 31 litres
Fins: 5 fin FCS2
Shaper: Britt Merrick
RRP: £610

The Ultra Joe has been slimmed down and tuned up to be more progressive and to handle a wider wave range. The rails are more foiled, a double bump has been added to the rail, a touch of extra tail rocker has been added and the nose has been pulled in. All these factors combine to create a more maneuverable and rippable shortboard, yet still maintain that easy paddling/easy surfing vibe the Average Joe was loved for.
