The Sun Also Rises

Another entry into the :London Film Fest with a very hip message. “Wherever you are in the world, on whatever day at some point the sun also rises.”

Matt Smith gets kegged around the world including some lovely Irish barrels. Narrated by Burgs, a spiritual teacher, connecting concentration and mindfulness.

“I’ve spent time in meditation with Rinpoche (one of Burgs principle teachers)” says Matt “And through daily conscious living I’m trying to connect with what Burgs talks about here. I find myself so busy yet with so many wonderful things surrounding me I often forget to sit still and watch the birds, so this mediation is a reminder for all to sit and appreciate our incredible world.

Burgs;
“I think if I could get you to do one thing, if I could get you to do one thing. I would say when you get to the point when you feel highly motivated towards keeping your virtue, then you’ll discover quite quickly just how extraordinary, a life could be.

And it’s just we get so messy, it’s not were doing lots of wrong things, our minds are so messy, we don’t keep it simple, we end up making the life that we are living so inordinately complicated, and it’s such a shame to end up feeling in a real muddle, when actually you ought to be having the time of your life.
It doesn’t take very much to get the deepest part of us completely happy, just be here to appreciate being here,

Feel that you are alive, be in touch with your heart, thats it. That’s it.
It takes, mindfulness to come to a human life. And then above that it takes mindfulness and virtue to come to a fortunate human life.

The chance to be a part of this happens briefly, the invitation is not to show how inventive and imaginative you are but how much you can notice what you are already part of. And appreciate it and share it, and care about those that are around you, look out for their welfare, while you are looking out for your own. That’s it. And then you will get to the end of it having had an awesome time, knowing that it was something you would recommend to others.

You all know, this place inside where it’s all right, you all know that when you let it go further it’s not this black hole. Yet the world is creaking under the strain of this inordinately complicated mass of humanity, and actually it is really simple. When you came down here, we came here with a sense of awe and wonder, dying to just see whats it’s all about. You know it’s like what will it be like to be down there, to be a part of it. And it came with a sense of wonder and somehow, the wonder of it wasn’t enough, or we stopped wondering about it and started wondering about yourself.

And in your wondering about yourself you forgot what you came here for, what you came to be apart of.
Burgs.
