After a 2-hour hike in complete darkness, I arrived at one of the most remote and terrifying slabs on the planet — Shipstern Bluff, Tasmania. This was my first time setting foot in Tasmania, and my first time flying the drone over this infamous wave.
What unfolded was a raw winter session with some of the heaviest drops, step-offs, and mutant ledges I’ve ever witnessed. Captured entirely from above, this 6-minute+ drone reel showcases the raw power and beauty of Shipsterns, with surfers charging one of worlds wildest waves.
