This video is a one trip short film capturing Luke Swanson and I surfing a few different remote breaks in northern Sumatra area.
We have been friends for a long time as I’ve watched Luke grow from a tiny, wide eyed kid who surfed Ehukai sandbar to one of the best surfers in the world for his age. We both had a window in our schedule and decided we would be good sparring partners for each other.
We surfed until we physically couldn’t anymore and enjoyed diving into the deep end of what we think style and technique means. We laughed , met great people, and had a blast pushing each other in the water all day everyday for two weeks.
