Jake is a 15 year old British surfer who has lived in Cape Town since the age of 3. He surfed for Great Britain at the 2014 ISA Junior World Champs and hopes to trial for the GB U16 Team for 2015.
Jake started surfing at the age of 5 and has been competing since the age of 9. He is currently the top ranked U16 surfer on the 2014 South African PST ( Pro Surf Tour) and won the 2014 Billabong Junior Series U16 title a month ago.
Jake’s favorite South African wave is Supers JBay. Some of the footage in the video is from Bruce’s, which is wave that does not work often but is sometimes described as the perfect wave when it does. Early this year Jake sneaked a few days off school to go up to Skeleton Bay Namibia for an epic swell forecast. We do not have footage, but apparently the barrels were huge and heavy!
