Australian slab addict Andrew Mooney decided that, for his birthday, he'd take a little different kind of surf trip than he's used to. Instead of seeking out massive slabs in remote Oz, he jetted off to Canada in search of hurricane surf and silky point breaks. Jon Becker is a clean energy entrepreneur from Boulder, Colorado. For 15 years, he has owned a home in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, a small surf town on the country’s northern Pacific coast.
