Nutz-Boards

sea hog

5’9″ x 21″ x 2 3/8″
(33.9 litres)
SHAPER: Ryan Hervé
FINS: Tri – Quad (five fin)

The Seahog combines funky old school with modern day attributes. In fact, the “Seahog” is the most fun you can have on tiny days. The wider, shorter outline and super flat rocker combined with forward single concave allow for incredible amounts of speed down the line. The heavy vee with double concave running off the tail gives this board drive, whilst still having an extremely responsive turning ability. The wide plan shape and extra volume gives you plenty of paddle speed to maximise your wave count on smaller days. This model comes standard with tri-quad set up, giving you the versatility you want in different wave types. The Seahog model will make you stoked to surf smaller waves, and with one of these in your quiver, you’ll never complain about small surf again.

Joystick

5’6″ x 20 1/2″ x 2 1/4″
(30 litres)
SHAPER: Ryan Hervé
FINS: Tri – Quad (five fin)

The Joystick is the definition of “high performance fish”. This board excels in weak surf up to head high with incredible top end speed and manoeuvrability. The Joystick has a full “fishy” outline with a pronounced wing which narrows the tail to make it more controlable. A subtle beak nose pushes foam forward to help with paddle speed and maximise wave count. A flat deck which allows you to apply more pressure on the heel and toe, combined with a thinner rail which makes the Joystick have an extremely responsive turning ability. This model comes standard with tri-quad fin set up, giving you the versatility you want in different wave types. With the Joystick model you’ll be jumping for joy to surf in rubbish waves. Ridden 4 – 6 inches shorter then your standard shortboard.

Moule

6’0″ x 20 1/4″ x 2 5/8″
(34.9 litres)
SHAPER: Ryan Hervé
FINS: Thruster

The Moule has all the attributes of a high performance shortboard with the added benefits of a proper grovel board. The full outline in the nose aids with paddling to maximise wave count, its pulled in tail allows tighter turns with hold, a low entry rocker and single concave from nose to tail generates incredible amounts of speed and drive making this model a true all rounder built for summer. Ridden 3 – 4 inches shorter than your standard shortboard.

Secret Weapon

5’10” x 20 1/4″ x 2 1/2″
(32.4 litres)
SHAPER: Ryan Hervé
FINS: Tri – Quad (five fin)

The Secret Weapon was originally designed in 2003 and has been modied to perfection to be an incredibly versatile board, designed to be ridden in smaller to larger waves. The shape holds a high amount of volume under the chest, which enables it to paddle well and catch waves early, the pulled in rounded pin tail allows for tight arcs with hold and draws lovely carving lines. A single concave from nose to tail enables surfers to make sections that they don’t normally expect to make. This is the perfect board for the average to expert surfer to have as an all round travel board for when the waves are just average to when its pumping. Riden 4 inches shorter then your standard shortboard.

Live Wire

‘8″ x 18 1/4″ x 2 1/8″
(23.4 litres)
SHAPER: Ryan Hervé
FINS: Thruster

The Live Wire is the end result of years of fine tuning to find the perfect balance for the most all round high performance board in the Nutz range. The Live Wire’s nose-to-tail single concave and tail shape combo makes it fast, responsive and made to suit a wide range of conditions. With a super-fast and lively rocker for a silky smooth rail to rail transition, The Live Wire is a beautifully balanced super high performance short board, with rocker, rails, concave and outline working simultaneously to create a responsive and drivey board with plenty of hold. The Live Wire is so versatile it will suit any chosen tail template, and custom dimensions.

flextech

SHAPER: Ryan Hervé

Flextech construction is a unique hybrid layup of Aramid or Innegra fibre, precision cut Carbon fibre, Quad Axail glass fibre and S-Glass with Epoxy resin. This complex fibre process with the lightweight EPS core creates such an incredible burst of energy from rider to board. Flextech boards create a kinetic flex pattern which gives forward projection when directed by the surfer. “I have been working with stringer-less boards and flex since 2002, and with all the materials that are now available, I have made a board which is lighter, stronger, faster and more responsive then any PU construction.” Flextech construction can be used on any board in the Nutz range, it can be applied to custom orders as they are made here in the UK.
