Monsta 6
5’9″ x 19 3/4″ x 2 1/2″
Volume: 30.7 Litres
Fins: Twin Futures set up
Shaper: Al Merrick
A retro feel twin fin with some modern performance updates. A real fast and fun wave catching machine. Inspired by a 70’s twin fin shaped by Al Merrick, Britt Merrick modified the template to build himself a board for a retro surfboard contest. The rocker has been modified from the original to give it that modern feel and to add drive and carving ability. The rails are tapered and relatively thin, to add sensitivity and responsiveness… Two qualities you don’t usually associate to a twin fin fish. This board has a twin Futures set up with a single FCS plug, perfect for a knubster fin to add that little extra control and drive should you wish.
Blak Box 2 Hyfi
6’0″ x 20 1/4 x 2 9/16″
Volume: 33 Litres
Fins: Thruster
Shaper: Jason Stevenson
The Blak Box 2 is a super versatile shortboard that creates speed instantly when the waves are small thanks to its fuller outline and low entry/exit rockers, yet still has the ability to handle when the swell’s up due to its subtle bottom contours and performance hip squash tail. All of these design features combine to create an incredibly balanced everyday all-rounder. Now in the Hyfi technology, this board has just got a whole lot better!
monsta Box pU round tail
6’0″ x 19 3/4 x 2 9/16″
Volume: 32.3 Litres
Fins: 5 fin option
Shaper: Jason Stevenson
The Monsta Box is a one board quiver to suit a whole range of riders and conditions. It has less rocker than the Monsta 6, but more rocker than the Blak Box. It has a wider outline than the Monsta 6, but narrower than the Blak Box 2. The result is an outline that hides a surprising amount of area for ease of paddling and speed generation. Now available in a five fin round tail model for added versatility and greater hold in tricky conditions.

Shaper: Jason Stevenson
The Monsta 6 is the most popular performance shortboard for when the waves turn on. The Blak Box 2 is one of the most versatile small wave machines out there. Put them together, wave a magic wand (or do some sort of jiggery pokery) and you have the Monsta Box, one of the most well received hybrid models we’ve seen here at Down the Line Surf Co. Now available in Hyfi for enhanced flex and increased speed capability.

Shaper: Jason Stevenson
Over the last couple of years the Monsta 3 has been the most popular performance shortboard for when the waves turn on. The Blak Box 2 is one of the most versatile small wave machines out there. Put them together, wave a magic wand (or do some sort of jiggery pokery) and you have the Monsta Box. A surfboard that takes the best elements of both to suit an even wider range of waves and surfers than ever before.
Psycho Nitro
5’9″ x 20 1/2″ x 2 5/8″
Volume: 34 Litres
Fins: 5 fin option
Shaper: Jason Stevenson
Putting a twist on the all-time classic the JS Nitro, the Psycho Nitro promises to bring more to the table at your summer party, whatever time of year it is. It now has a fuller nose, a slight vee through the tail and Jason’s added foam under the chest to give you even more paddle power. There is a flyer at the front fins which reduces area towards the back of the board and gives you a pivot point to turn sharper in the pocket on small waves. All in all, this board is super quick, paddles ridiculously well and has pretty much everything you need for a cracking surf in small, junky, everyday waves.
