Porto Punch?

Whilst we are on a break from the shenanigans at Peniche here’ s a look at a not so covered end of Portugal: Porto. The legendary town is home to port, obvs; the francesinha, arguably the best open sandwich in the universe; and on the evidence of this some damn fine waves.

Come see António Rodrigues rip it up.

REVERIE

We get sent an awful lot of stuff for consideration to get a run here. This is one of those clips that was a no brainer. Life’s all about dreaming big.

My best mate James Lowe and I made this short documentary together, it’s about his dreams of surfing the best waves in the world and mine of being a film maker. It showcases some of his best waves that have been documented from Jaws to Dungeons, with Sunset and bayview featuring in the mix. @shotboet @jameslowe783

See the sport of surfing as it’s never been captured before in John Florence and Blake Vincent Kueny’s second signature release, in association with award-winning film studio, Brain Farm. The first surf film shot entirely in 4K, View From a Blue Moon follows the world’s most dynamic surfer John Florence and his closest friends from his home on the North Shore of Oahu to his favorite surfing destinations around the globe. From the dreamy blue perfection of the South Pacific to the darkest uncharted waters of Africa (and everywhere in between), Florence faces a broad spectrum of emotions as he continues to seal his legacy as one of the most gifted surfers ever. And while the young Hawaiian is pulled in increasingly different directions, there is no form of pressure that will keep him from his ultimate goal — to redefine what is possible in the ocean.

Yago Indo

Words fail. Yago Dora just surfs phenomenally. One of the reasons we put him on the cover a few issues back. Watch this and just be careful your chin doesn’t hit the deck. So smooth, so stylish and just so watchable. Add cranking Indo into the mix and you’ve got something magical.
