Goin’ To Da League … Zeke Lau

Making the cut for the WSL is the pinnacle of any competitive surfer’s career. We look forward to seeing Zeke and his fellow rookies take on the world’s best this season.
Joining Zeke as the new kids on tour hoping they won’t get their heads flushed down the bogs are Europeans Frederico Morais, Joan Duru and Leo Fioravanti. Brazil’s Ian Gouveia and Aussies Ethan Ewing and Connor O’Leary … although Connor’s dad is Irish and his mum’s Japanese so he’ll be cheered on by the homelands as well.

SURFING WINTER STORM HELENA IN NEW JERSEY

“This past week during Winter Storm Helena I worked on this project with Sam Hammer, about cold water surfing here in New Jersey. Winter Storm Helena rolled in this past Saturday and we had sub-zero temperatures here with a high of 15 and negative wind chills. We also had a solid south wind swell in the water after a night of 6-8 inches of snow, we woke up and set on a track to find some empty waves. The edit shows the behind the scenes of winter surfing here in New Jersey in the snow and negative temperatures. Sam talks about his dedication for surfing in the winter. The video was shot in Lavalette, New Jersey and the surfing part in Long Beach Island, New Jersey.” – Ryan Mack
