If you’ve seen the stellar shorebreak photos by Clark Little then you’ll know Keiki. It’s the shore pound at the end of the main stretch of the North Shore. Just after Shark’s Cove and before Log Cabins is the unassuming stretch of sand that is more popular with locals for picnics and sunbathing than surfing. It does get surfed occasionally, by madmen looking for free chiro, it’s not normally what you’d call ‘good’. A hurricane swell, however, brought it to life as you’ll see in the clip…

One year on from a wipeout which broke Cotty’s back while surfing at giant waves at Nazare, he’s finally back after a long road of recovery!
