While we are not quite sure about that moustache, we are definitely fans of the TK smooth power turns that, has to be said, we have missed at J-Bay over the past few days. If you have missed him too fear not, for here is a little clip by Nick Pollet just to sate your desire for a few roundhouses, swoops and carves from master himself.
Sonny Miller recounts the tale of Tom Currens first wave at J Bay. It was another moment that blew the surfing world away when it came out on video. Sonny was there to capture it all
US media are reporting one of the worlds most influential film makers Sonny Miller has died. He filmed the Search and Searching for Tom Curren which included this clip of TC at Bawa in 1994 on a 5’4″ Fireball fish, which pretty much changed the surfing world. More news when we get it.
Sonny also worked on Die Another Day, Blue Crush, Lords of Dogtown, In Gods Hands and Riding Giants.
RIP Sonny.
