Weret have produced an ultra stylish analog surf smartwatch combining analog elegance with digital interfaces driven by Bluetooth technology, which allows you to check surf conditions in real-time.
The watch has a simple set up. Just install the app on your smartphone (Android or iOS), then choose from its three modes Wave, Weather, and Wind.
Wave mode is for surfers and allows you to check swell height, swell direction, tide times, and water temperature with data from 3,000 beaches and 180 countries. So no matter where you are you can time your surf at a glance at the wrist.
The easy to read dials allow continuous display and quick assessment, much quicker than checking phone apps, and it looks cool.
The watch is water-resistant up to 330 feet (10 ATM) and made from 316L surgical grade stainless steel - a sapphire crystal glass that protects the watch from scratches and corrosion. So it is tough too.
There are loads of other features that also make it great for windsurfers, kitesurfer and boating.
You can chose from Weret Blue, Weret Clean - black or white - while the Weret 612 comes in rose gold or brushed stainless steel with three choices of strap; leather, canvas, and silicon. The watch is recharged by a wireless induction charger with a battery life of three months.

Wave pool for Manchester?
Some would call it an Oasis producing wonder walls.. But not us…
The UK actually has a good record of producing talented surfers from landlocked regions – Paul Russell former British and European Champ was from Leicester, Spencer Hargraves dad moved down from Wigan, Mark and Sean Harris parents were from the same region, Russ Winter and his bros from London. And of course Luis and Keshia Eyre were born in Manchester itself before taking up surfing when the family moved Portugal. So it is not inconceivable that a British champ be born and bred in Manchester and set the world alight. A Marcus Rashford of the surf world perhaps?
Modern Surf Manchester has put forward early proposals for a Wavegarden to Trafford Council along with a pump track and fitness zone, a halfpipe and boarding area, and exercise areas including bouldering and balancing zones, the Trafford City site will also have bar and restaurant facilities.
Managing director Billy McKinney said: “This is a really exciting project to be bringing to Greater Manchester.
“On the back of becoming an Olympic sport, surfing is growing in popularity and our plans will deliver perfect and consistent waves to TraffordCity and build on the region’s excellent and world leading sporting assets.
“As well as the clear financial benefits the proposals will deliver, Modern Surf Manchester will also provide significant health and well-being benefits locally.
“It is well-known that water-based sports can have a huge positive impact on physical and mental wellbeing, so I am looking forward to opening more opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get involved in surfing.”
Modern Surf Manchester is expected to open by 2023 if permission is granted, creating around 100 full time equivalent jobs.
Medina signs 5 year deal
Twice world surfing champion Gabriel Medina has extended his long term relationship with surfing company Rip Curl in a new five year deal. Medina has been with Rip Curl 12 years and the contract cements his position as the number one Rip Curl rider in the hunt for his third WSL World Title.
“Rip Curl and I, we have been together a long time and we know each other well,” said Medina. “We have a lot of respect and support for each other and they are a surfing company all the way through.”
Standing tall at 180cms and just on 80 kilos, the powerful goofy foot revels in the heavy reef break conditions of the Banzai Pipeline. “The waves are going to be good for Pipe and I love it there. I want to get the tour started and surf hard again. I’m ready.”
With the 2020 World Surfing Tour cancelled due to Covid-19, the surfing world awaits as competition resumes at the Billabong Pipe Masters on December 8. Medina, from Maresias, Sao Paulo, Brazil, won both his 2014 and 2018 world titles at Pipeline and enters the resumed race as one of the top five contenders for the 2021 world title.
It will be a big year for Medina, age 26, who will represent his nation at the Tokyo Olympics later in 2021 and will aim to win the Gold medal and the title in one year. A feat never before achieved.
Surf & Turf | Fergal Smith
Fergal grew up on his fathers farm miles from the sea but he dreamed of surfing. Those dreams lead him to carve a path as a professional surfer chasing huge waves and leading the Irish charge.
On a trip to Tahiti something clicked and after being professional surfer for 10 years, Fergal changed the course of his life to give back to the land, using his upbringing as a farmer to combine a love of waves and growing good healthy food.
