So, Bonnie Land

So, Bonnie Land

So, Bonnie Land would not have been possible without an incredible number of people. A 3 minute film weaved together from 3 years of experiences in the North of Scotland. The folk of the Highland community, and everyone across the UK and Ireland who gave a stranger places to stay, car repairs, warmth, food, friendship, waves and most of all a place to call home. I will never forget your kindness.

To @darknorthscotland and @lindseygallacher for your support as an artist, I will always be grateful. Helaina, your voice is truly the icing on the cake, I know how terrifying the thought of narrating the film was.

@bridie.marie and @sultana557 - my confidence when it was gone, my strength through sadness, words will never be enough.  @thomashorig/

Tower at Teahupo’o

Tower at Teahupo’o

Following the ISA’s statement on December 5th, 2023, the French Polynesian Government decided to move forward with a lighter and less impactful version of the judging tower in Teahupo’o.

Marine surveys of the location and a construction test are being conducted in the upcoming days. Until the outcome of those tests are complete, the ISA reserves any further comment.

The ISA is responsible for the Olympic surfing competitions. All decisions on infrastructure are the responsibility of the French Polynesian Government and the Paris 2024 Organising Committee.

The ISA will continue to advocate for an environmentally sustainable solution.
