The Blue Juice festival announces free sessions to inspire local community, creatives and students.

The Blue Juice festival have just announced a morning of free sessions to inspire local community members, creatives and students in Cornwall.

As part the 30 year celebrations invited guests will share their stories to inspire and inform attendees about careers in film, TV, advertising and business through personal stories, practical advice, and honest reflections from industry professionals, some of whom started their careers on Blue Juice.

“Whatever you want to do, why not do it now” Gideon Bright / Dryrobe®. 
Rachel Tales from Plastic Free Penzance will open the event.
At 10.05 Blue Juice director Carl will talk about getting started, making connections and what it really takes to succeed in creative industries.
At 11 Gideon Bright ex location manager now owner of DryRobe®, Carn Burton – Film crew professional, Ed Rutherford – Cinematographer / Film crew Screen Skills ‘make a move’ beneficary and Tori Parry (TBC) – Development Executive, Film4 will discuss Mental Attitude & Personal Growth, Exploring identity, resilience, and alternative paths. 
At 12 Emma Turner – Film CPD lead, educator, industry connector Screen Cornwall – will lead a Practical Skills & Opportunities session discussing industry entry points, side hustles, and industry realities.

Carl Prechezer – Director of Blue Juice, has decades of experience in directing, producing, and mentoring talent. Known for candid reflections on the emotional and practical challenges of creative careers.

Emma Turner – Head of Film, Animation & Future Skills, is passionate about developing inclusive pathways into the screen industries.

Gideon Bright – Is the inventor, owner and entrepreneur behind Dryrobe®, with roots in film production. Gideon was part of the core St Ives surf crew while working on Blue Juice, and then went to London to persue a career in film, before inventing the the now iconic and much copied DryRobe®. His story offers insights into career pivots, perseverance, product development  and personal growth.

Carn Burton & Ed Rutherford – Working professionals in film, sharing grounded advice on surviving and thriving in the industry. Local lad Carn worked on Blue Juice and then went on to be a successful location a working on high budget films such as Gladiator 2, House of the Dragon, Star Wars and many other films and TV productions
