Among Portugal’s many incredible waves, Supertubos stands out as one of the most insane breaks. It draws the country’s top surfers, such as Luís Perloiro, Afonso Antunes, and Guilherme Fonseca, as well as international stars like Dane Reynolds, Samuel Pupo, and João Chumbinho.
Supertubos consistently delivers, so much so that it hosts a Championship Tour event every March. But even at a world-class break like this, some days exceed all expectations—like the one João Kopke experienced. With two intense three-hour sessions, the barrel-filled spectacle left João and the crew frothing for more.
