Day three
This morning, surfers began the third day of competition at the Quiksilver Festival. Thanks to an offshore wind, the organizers chose the “Twin Fin” theme for the morning. After two “Biggest Turn” sessions over the previous two days, Americans Clay Marzo and Bobby Martinez dominated the provisional team rankings with 25.10pts.
Today saw a change of format: this time, surfers were judged on their twin fin style (two side fins for fast maneuvering). Thanks to their explosive and singular surfing, the duo Clay Marzo and Bobby Martinez dominated this third day of competition with a total of 38.53pts.

The Quiksilver Festival by Swatch is back in Les Landes (France) for a celebration of surf, skate, music and art, a true continuation of summer from September 21-29, 2024 in Capbreton, Hossegor and Seignosse!
After a truly unforgettable ‘23 edition, the Quiksilver Festival returns for 9 days packed with competitions, music and waves! The brainchild of French pro surfer Jérémy Florès and his longtime sponsor Quiksilver, the event will once more welcome the greatest surfers in the world including all-time legend Kelly Slater, Olympic gold medalist Kauli Vaast, Coco Ho, Kai Lenny and many more. Fans will witness an incredible display of talent on France’s famous beach breaks.
“We are so excited to welcome the world’s best surfers once more, for this year’s Quiksilver Festival,” said Jérémy Florès. “Last year’s edition was memorable. The waves were insane and the fans were really enthusiastic. We can’t wait to kick off the ‘24 edition of this festival celebrating surf, skate, music and art!”
The Quiksilver Festival by Swatch is proud to unveil a vast musical selection to be discovered over nine days of beachside events. Skegss, Halfpipe Records, Poupie and a great lineup of international artists will get crowds moving in Capbreton, Hossegor and Seignosse. The festival’s closing party will be hosted by Deezer and Club Azur’s DJs (Antigone, Victor Flash, Edd and Gero).
Quiksilver’s partners will also be present throughout the festival!
