The Alchemy Experiment is excited to announce the debut solo exhibition from professional surf & adventure photographer Samuel Howard

Photographer Samuel Howard takes on a subversive journey into the beautiful oceans surrounding Scotland. With the majority of his work, Sam dives into the ocean with his camera, capturing the magical moments as he swims. From tiny water gems to powerful waves, we will venture to the far corners of Scotland and discover the beauty in the water often right next to our towns and cities.

We will also gain a taster of his ongoing personal project ‘In Scotland We Surf’, which delves into the incredible hidden community that calls our ocean home.

Sam Howard is a professional lifestyle and adventure photographer with a love for the ocean and surfing. Born and raised near Aberdeen in the North East of Scotland he discovered surfing and the benefits of the ocean through a close knit group of friends.

He became fascinated by photography after purchasing a camera to record memories of a surf trip to Africa. Photography has brought the same escape as surfing for Sam and has helped him through some difficult times of mental health.

He believes in the health benefits of the ocean and wants to provide support to the community and introduce them to this concept through his work.

A proportion of the profits from ‘Our Scottish Seas’ will be donated to @waveprojectscotland . Preview night on Friday 27th Oct.

The exhibition will run at The Alchemy Experiment in Glasgow from 24th Oct – 5th Nov. With an opening night of the 27th of November 7-9pm.

The opening night includes:

• Charity donation on the door

• Free drinks

• Short film screening
