I was amazed when I pulled up in the El Porto parking lot at what I was seeing. The waves were incredible to watch due to late afternoon strong offshore winds. Offshore winds at El Porto happen maybe a handful of times per year but not like this.
Earlier in the morning I had chased this swell up to Rincon only to find that it was basically blown out. When I got a call saying that El Porto was in rare form I had a hard time believing it, I had to see it myself. – Brad Jacobson
