Kinda like these vids. As a Brit travelling abroad I was always asked “Do you surf in the river”, as if the River Severn bore was the only place you would find waves in the whole of the British Isles. Of course surfers have long satiated their waterborne desires anywhere they could find a ridable ripple, and for many surfing reality lays far from the “Superbank.”
