Q; What do a one legged stand up called Peg and a short, well built, bearded kneeboarder called ‘Hudson’ have in common?
A; Apart from one shared brain cell after too many beers, a dumb idea and a pedalo thing, they now have a plan raise money for some worthy charities surfing from John O’ Groats to Lands End.

Peg…What the hell are you doing now?
Jogle On. A 900 Mile Bike Ride John ‘O’Groats – Lands End. 4 wheels 3 legs 2 idiot’s, no F*****G idea.

Why are you doing it?
We are doing it because we got drunk, thought it would be a good idea and instantly bought a bike on E-bay!

Are you surfing along the way or is it on stop?
We are gonna be surfing Thurso, Aberavon, Surf Snowdonia (to be confirmed.. ‘Hello!)), The Severn Bore and probably Sennan at the end.

Are you going to rig up the pedalo with speakers?
Deffo rigging up music so I don’t have to listen to Hudson’s “Are we there yet?” “How much longer?” moaning.

Have you got comfy seats?
The seat is ok but Hudson will be fine as he has some built in padding.

At what point do you think you will you say to Hudson – “Shut up I’ve only got one leg?’
The first time I drop in on him at Thurso. Bloody kneeboarders.

So you have got one leg and you’re a stand up, he’s got two legs but he’s a kneeboarder. Do you think this will confuse people outside of Perranporth?
HELL IT CONFUSES ME! Being short and a kneeboarder it’s always overhead for John. It takes a real man to stand up on one leg.

What charities are you raising money for and why?
Raising money for the Handstand Appeal. Marsell is a Perranporth lad that lost all four limbs to menangitis when he was young. He has an amazing outlook on life and is a real trooper. Being young he is growing fast and is in need of new equipment.
The Wave Project These guys do amazing work with the kids. Being on the English Adaptive Surf Team I have seen some of the work and results of what they do and am blown away by it all.

What are you’re planned stop offs so people can buy you both a beer?
We have a route but not specific stop offs. We are just gonna cycle as far as we can each day until it starts to get dark. If anyone spots us donations to the charities and beers to us will be gratefully received.

We are looking for corporate sponsorship if anyone out there would like to help.

You can donate to their effort here. Corporate sponsors get in touch.
