When Kelly won Quiksilver Pro France in pumping barrels in front of a huge crowd as the sun dropped….I was sat on the beach there beer in hand marvelling at the the whole show; Slaters dominance on wave that my friend loves to remind me half drowned us both the day before, the late drop, the no hand backhand barrel, cat like grace… The crowd, the atmosphere just being there in the moment…. and that sunset
