My name is Kamron Matthews I’m a 13 year old grom from Newquay. I started competitive surfing last year, and thanks to my pink and green stick made by Hugh Brockman of BOS Surfboards, this year I came 3rd in the British Nationals Under 14 boys and am currently ranked in 2nd place on the UK Pro Surf Tour.
My local breaks are North Fistral, Watergate Bay and Towan left in the winter. I enjoy surfing different beaches both in Cornwall and Devon as well as France and Portugal.
I often surf with a crew of local groms and we hold fake comps each choosing to be our favourite international surfer. My local inspirations would have to be Harry Timson and Tom Butler. My international inspirations are Gabriel Medina, John John Florence and Mick Fanning for their clean turns and powerful airs.
My ambitions are to travel the world and work in the surf industry, my dream would be to take part in the ASP.
