Raglan from space!
The surf stoked tweets of an astronaut. You can take surfer out of the atmosphere but they are still going to check the swell..
The lengths surfers will go to to check the surf, or see surfing potential in lakes, rivers, rock formations, trees, hedges, small ponds on flooded roads literally points to full blown addiction. What then if you were presented with the ultimate globe swell check opportunity?
Meet Christina Koch. She is an astronaut on the International space station currently whizzing about the world 408 km cover the seas at 27,600 KM per hour. According to Nasa Christina H. Koch was selected as an astronaut in 2013, graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Physics and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. She is currently a part of the Expedition 59 and 60 crew that launched to the International Space Station in March 2019. It doesn’t say whether she is natural or goofy but perhaps she will tweet us and fill us in on these ( more important ) facts. Anyway as you will se she is definitely a surf fan. And possibly the gatekeeper to more secret spots than anyone on earth. Please don’t ask!

The @Space_Station orbital inclination gives us a straight shot connecting Bali and the beaches of Australia. Beautiful view of the competition sites as the @wsl championship tour bounces back and forth between the two. #swellfromspace pic.twitter.com/KrrfkU2iS3

Can already see the long period SSW swell showing in southern Tahiti and even breaking on the reef. Hoping for another good view of Teahupo’o from the @Space_Station when it peaks later this week! #SwellFromSpace pic.twitter.com/H7fUQxyeP8

It took my breath away as it came into focus. My first glimpse of coastal North Carolina from space. It’s a special thing to see from above the place where you grew up–the ocean that first inspired my fascination with things that make me feel small & planted the seed to explore. pic.twitter.com/OZoqiOVtRR
