Scarborough

Scarborough is a seaside town with breaks either side of the headland offering something for everyone. Tons of options north and south: try Saltburn to the north and Cayton Bay just to the south.

North Bay faces north and offers waves breaking over sand and rocks; it works from low- to mid-tide only. There are three main peaks: Supersucks is a hollow, powerful but quite fickle reef at the north end; The Peak in the middle offers up A-frames and Rights is a point which needs a decent swell from the northeast or north. South Bay is an east-facing beachbreak which needs a big swell to work; it’s best from low- to mid-tide. More A-frame peaks which get bigger further south, suitable for all abilities. A reef for good surfers only sits at the south and creates rights popular with spongers.
