Hi Rob
 
Just to let you know we had a wonderful holiday.  Got back last night, and am now struggling to adjust to my 'normal' life!  I have to make changes so that I can surf more often - it's the only way to get anywhere with it I think. 
 
Tom was brilliant - SO laid back, patient and kind.  Every day this week the surf was very different - really really windy at first, then died right down and so was small on the east coast (good for practice at going out back), then rough with lots of tricky backwash for the last 2 days.  I enjoyed that - it was like waterskiing over the wake behind the boat!  It was good to experience all those different kinds of waves and conditions.  I learnt so much, and have come away happy with what I have to work on. 
 
And all the arm exercises I did definitely paid off!  Paddling was nowhere near as big a problem as it was in Newquay last summer.  When the conditions were smaller, I was managing to catch greenies by paddling into them - brilliant! Still got too excited and fell off though! Everyone really enjoyed it and it has spurred us all on to do more trips.  We've already been talking about having a week in  France in the summer.
