Huey-1 has been taking surfers to the now famous Mentawai Islands since 1999. The current owners, husband and wife team Sooly and Mel have owned the boat since 2005. Based in Padang they are on hand to ensure the operation runs smoothly.
Huey is a large 25 metre vessel and can accommodate 8 – 10 surfers and has plenty of open spaces and chill out areas. No ‘cabin fever’ aboard Huey-1!
In our 13 seasons operating in Sumatran waters Huey-1 has never lost a day due to mechanical breakdown. Our long serving staff know the boat upside down and make our trips unforgettable.
We specialise in chasing down the best and most uncrowded waves for our guests. If you want to escape the European winter our off season trips are tailored to suit your needs.
