If you fancy learning to surf on on uncrowded waves in the warm waters of the Pacific.Costa Rica Outward Bound is offering several 15- and 30-day surf intensive courses this July and August.
Ideal for beginners looking to catch their first wave or long-time surfers wanting to improve their technical skills, the courses boast personalized instruction on unspoiled black and white sand beaches. Using a holistic approach, skilled instructors show not only the technical aspects of getting on a board and riding a wave, but you’ll also learn wave dynamics, coastal ecology, understanding rip tides, and all other aspects of surfing. Feel confident surfing solo and significantly improve your abilities without wearing a full wetsuit.
With the course’s focus on personal development and challenge, participants will dramatically improve their surfing skills, participate in yoga and beach Olympics, camp under the stars, cook meals in fire pits along the beach, and learn Spanish in an “off the beaten path” environment.
