The World Belly Boarding Championships, is held  this year on Sunday 2nd September, and competitors from around the globe and up the hill make the pilgrimage to Chapel Porth on the north Cornish coast to celebrate the art of riding traditional wooden boards.

Organised and hosted by the National Trust the event brings together people with an enthusiasm, fascination and curiosity in this deep rooted tradition of riding ply and prone wooden surfboards.

It also has its fair share of those who simply love being by the sea, eating cake and sipping tea with nothing better to do ! 2012 promises to be more fun than ever before with all our usual contributors back for more alongside fresh new faces with increased hospitality and activities.
