It’s no secret we dig a bit of social media here at Carve.
The beast known as Instagram appeals to all as it’s the easiest way to share photos. Be they works of art, abstract weirdness or pictures of your pussy(cat).
Seeing as it’s near prime surf season we are launching a lil comp. All you’ve got to do to enter is just tag your pic with #carvemag that way we can see all your autumnal art in one place.
There’s no theme, any image you think we will dig works. Just tag your shots be they: surfing, line-ups, board porn, funky fin close ups or artful wetties dangling on the washing line.
Here’s a few examples already tagged by readers that saw the comp in the current mag.
We’ll do a monthly round up on carvemag.com and each month our fave shot will get a run in the mag with a few words and self portrait from you the photographic genius that made the shot. Depending on what’s in the prize cupboard we’ll fire you out some goodies as well.

**Rules**:
Photos must be your own work. We ain’t dumb. Ripping other peeps shots ain’t cool. Shots should be recent. Avoid Insty cliches like Starbucks cups, kittens, babies and sunsets, unless you are doing something amusing, like fitting all of that into one image.
