Balls deep chapter 2 – Dale Winton and a couple of boards
We had been tracking this swell for a while and it looked like it was going to be banging, with internet sites predicting 5.5ft at 13 seconds at Freshwater West we were all itching to get on it. We checked the Pembroke buoy, it was looking good but the wind was blowing a bit cross shore, after a short discussion and a call to Pembrokeshire weather guru Sam “Rat” Anderson we decided to head up to West Dale.
When the boys got in the water the tide was pretty low and the waves weren’t really doing much but as the tide started pushing a nice right started reeling across the bay. With Tom Griffin and Jack Abbot being regular footers, they were on it, Griffin smashing out some wicked turns and Jack working on his aerial manuvers along with some really stylish turns.
After an hour or so a left started working, Alex Morris was all over it, linking up multiple turns, bashing the lip all over the shop!
